Curriculum & Examination

  • Students are prepared for the Indian Certificate for Secondary Education Examination (Class 10) and the Indian School Certificate Examination (Class 12).
  • The prescribed courses for the I.C.S.E. are followed. Sanskrit is offered as a third language. Courses are so geared that pupils offer suitable combination of the following in the I.S.C. Examination – English, Hindi, Mathematics, Physics, Biology, Bio-Technology, Economics, Commerce, Accounts and Community Service is compulsory for all.
  • Four Examinations are held each year. Two unit test, one half yearly and a final examination. The results are sent to parents. Promotion to higher classes is made on the basis of criteria for promotion given below. Boy’s who fail in these examination are not considered for promotion to higher classes.

Criteria for Promotion

Students should secure 40% marks in the average of each subject in the unit tests, half-yearly and final examination in order to secure promotion to the next class.
  • Special arrangements cannot be made for pupils who for any reason whatsoever, are absent from the main examinations or any part of them. No claim for promotion will be entertained on the basis of medical certificates. Answer scripts submitted by pupils, for these examinations, will not be returned to parents, private tutors or others. In special cases, school authorities may review the answers scripts.
  • No students who has less than 75% attendance during the school Academic Year will be permitted to sit for the final examination unless special permission to do so is obtained from the principal under exceptional circumstances only.
  • Re-test will not be given for being absent on any ground. In case of absence on account of genuine illness, the pupil’s general performance in the class will be taken into consideration for promotion.
  • The assessment made by the teacher, duly checked by the principal, is fair and final.
  • Those absent for any of the tests or examinations will not get any position.
